Cops: What would you do if someone called you a...

JellyRider, you have asked a loaded question. police officers keep their cool in situations like you have described. i have been called every name in the book and i just had my 66th birthday. point here is that name-calling does not effect me at all. they are just words. but, personally laying your hands or any part of your body on a police officer is off-limits. this can be considered assault, just like spitting on someone. i can only speak for myself. like you and your brother or sister…..we all are different. my reaction in a situation may be entirely different from the reaction of a younger officer. yes, we are all taught the correct respones at the police academy, but sometimes that’s as far as it goes with some officers.
