Where can I buy a microphone?

Okay, ive had a Skype account for a while and everytime i do a video chat, it always says checkyour microphone and i can never find it on my laptop. So now im just giving up and buying one.

My question is, Where can i find a microphone compatable for Skype?

Check to be sure your laptop doesn’t have an internal mic. Most do these days, even netbooks, If it doesn’t,any mic that plugs into yourmic-in port will work with Skype. You can get one at Radio Shack, Fry’s, online, any number of places. And you don’t need an expensive one.

Pretty much any store that sells electronics.
Even your local Target or Walmart will carry microphones.

Your laptop probably has a built-in microphone though. Most do these days, along with a webcam.
If you’re using Windows (Xp, Vista, or 7), go to Control Panel and find Sound. Open it up and go to the “Recording” tab, in there you’ll see if there is a microphone connected or not.
