Do any of you use Yahoo Answers?

Asked by example1 (4points) July 22nd, 2010

They have some strict policies. Other users can report an answer and have it automatically taken down without a staff review (as long as those users have good reputation) it can take as little as one user.

Sometimes they won’t even post your question, yet they still take away 5 points without notice.

Here is one question that did not post just because it contains a certain type of link:
Which actor is this?

I use Y!A but I never post questions there, only answer them. I stick mainly to certain topics. I gather the link problem is they don’t accept links that use link-shortening services?

Anyway, I have absolutely no clue who that actor is. I’m sure it’s someone I have never heard of.

I use Y!A, but I haven’t been there in a while. I happen to like that site because I have made some good friends from there, but fluther has a chat..so I use this one more. :P

I go to Yahoo! Answers when I’ve got a question that needs a lot of input. Sadly, there’s so much volume that my questions usually go orphaned.
I like to answer questions.

I only answer questions. I have read that some people have successfully appealed a removal. I suggest you try that.

I’ve visited once or twice. It seems to be infested with trolls and idiots.

I’m the regular user of Y!A. Some people don’t want to see what they don’t like see in their question, even if the answer is the ‘truth’ of the issue. I believe some member of Y!A will give positive contribution, and some other are just regular trolls.

I used to, but I like the interaction of Fluther more.

Sadly Yahoo Answers rank higher on Google searches than Fluther questions.
