What are some fun places kids would enjoy in Henrico, VA?

What about Water Country USA? It has been awfully hot.

Pony Pasture is really neat if your kids are strong swimmers. It’s basically some large rocks in the middle of the James River that you can have a picnic on, and have fun swimming in the rapids. Lots of Richmonders will go there on the weekends.

There’s also Maymont Park.

You might want to check out one of the old plantations around. There’s the Shirley Plantation which is a really eye-opening experience. If you’re willing to take a drive, Thomas Jefferson’s house, Monticello is really neat. It’s a little over an hour away from Richmond.
