Repository of Short Interesting Articles for Casual Reading?

I have recently discovered longform.com and i wonder if there is a site like this, with fantastic interesting articles, but on the shorter side. just things i can read while doing other stuff on the computer. thanks

All that comes to mind right now are sites like American Thinker, Pajamasmedia, and Zombietime. Good stuff, mostly, but it’s quite political, and odds are good that it’s not your kind of political.
Also, it looks like somebody et your site and put up a dummy. If so, my condolences.

You might want to take a look at Fresh Yarn. Lots of good personal essays.

I think what you want are blogs. Is there anything in particular you are looking to read – political commentary? International news? Quirky fictitious short stories? Gardening how-to?
