Will I get points on my license? Will my insurance go up?

so I got pulled over for doing 43.5 in a 25 and not wearing my seatbelt on some back ass country road n Bangor pa. I got two tickets one for the speed the other for the seatbelt 214.00 in total. Will my insurance go up or will I get points?

that really all depends on your insurance company, if they regularly check your driving record, they may raise your premiums, they may not. You’ll definitely be getting the points however, unless you go to court and try to fight it, which is usually a waste of time. Just pay the fines and hope your insurance company is none the wiser.

In NM, you don’t get points for speeding if you’re on a rural road. Don’t know about PA. Not sure about the seat belt, either.
