If your life was in danger who would you trust?

Asked by daytonamisticrip (4859points) August 5th, 2010

Your life depends on one of to people, a complete stranger, or a friend who has lost a lot of your trust. Who would you choose?

Tough choice here. i would never trust a total stranger, someone i did not know. i also would not trust a friend who has befriended me in the past. if i had to select the lesser of the two evils, i would chose a total stranger. why? well, i already know what the situation is with my distrustful friend, so the gamble would be with someone i did not know, a stranger. i would only hope that the stranger would be more trustful. this is a tall gamble.

Find yourself in a true life-threatening situation and I’m wagering you wouldn’t think twice about asking for help from anyone who was nearby.

It would depend on the friend who lost my trust and why that trust was lost. I’m going to assume it was really, really bad. In that circumstance I would go for the stranger.

I’ll take anyone! I’m picky when it comes to choosing fruit at the grocery store, not when it comes to help in a life and death situation ;)

I’d choose the friend if it were a situation he or she Could be trusted regardless of my “lost’ trust. You cannot trust some friends with some things but that doesn’t mean they can’t be trusted with anything at all.

It would rest in the details of type of trust lost between me and my friend.

First instinct: go with the friend. If they lost a lot of my trust, they must be feeling pretty badly about themselves and would help me. Although, of course, it depends on why they lost the trust over.

it depends the friend- if the friend was always squeamish or was thought of to maybe not have very big balls he may end up getting in the way or himself plugged. If the stranger looked like maybe he could handle himself then maybe that guy would be better.

Friend.

Strainger you have nothing. The friend you had something. That is something you can work on.

A friend. If they were once your good friend, or any regular old friend for that matter, they would not let you die.

I would trust my wayward friend. Maybe we could make ammends quickly!

Tbh, I would trust neither of them. Why? Because I know they will blab and get my shot or something.

The strong survive, the weak perish, if you need to depend on someone else to live, you deserve to die according to that philosophy. Hence why all pack animals suck balls (hence lions suck and tigers rock).

I’d like to think that if a life was at stake, someone who was once a friend doesn’t hate you so bad that they want you to die. :/
