I’d ask my gynocologist. He/she will know you best.

The problem is, chemicals are absorbed into your head when you color your hair. Thus, those chemicals make it to your baby. I’d at least quit coloring until your healthy little tootsie is born.

No, I was told to quit dying my hair immediately when I decided to have a baby, the dye contained mutagens.

I have never heard it was harmful, i have ALOT of “punk/gothic” friends with children and dyed their hair while prego and ALL came out perfect with NO probs or even the slightest issues… the ONLY thing i have ever heard about dying your hair when your prego is that your hormones levels with change the color of what its suppose to be lol like if your going for say Maroon it may come out Orange. if you would like i can give you the email addresses to atleast 5 women that have done this while they were prego. :)

I’m male, so take this however you want to. A fetus starts out as one cell and that cell has to continually divide for the fetus to develop. There’s a risk that it will not divide perfectly and chemicals increase that risk. Now, how important is hair color and how important is a healthy child?

You can try real Henna (not compound henna) but it is messy and you may have to let it sit a few hours for it to take. However your hormones may affect the out come. My hair texture and color changed when I was pregnant with my daughter. I had streaks of brown hair in my black hair. I wasn’t coloring it back then. Its only 9 months and just not worth the trouble.
