What toppings do you like on your pizza?

Asked by Frenchfry (7591points) August 11th, 2010

Do you eat the crust or toss it? What kind of crust? Thin, pan, stuffed, tossed? I am looking at pizza coupons and it’s lunch time. So many decisions.

Ok, deep dish pizza is a scam/gross 9 times out of 10. Too much dough. I want to be able to eat 5 pieces of pizza, not 1 or 2 and be stuffed to the brim! So, thin all the way. Crust is sometimes the best part, but always the best part when I make it and use garlic salt in the dough. There’s nothing like fresh mushrooms and in my opinion thats all you need. Too many toppings is just too much. I am so passionate about pizza.

Pineapples FTW

@ZEPHYRA Asparagus on a pizza? Never heard of it…

Fresh Italian Sausage and Grilled Chicken
Combo of Asiago, Jack and Mozzarella cheeses
Not-too-thin crispy crust
Nice sweet sauce made with fresh tomatoes
Little fresh basil on top

Oh I love thin sliced pizza baked till its crispy on the bottom and soft on top with extra cheese and pepperoni’s on top. I always feel a lot of topping take away the tast of the sauce. Simple is best for me.

I should have never looked at this question, because I’m a complete pizza freak. Anything and everything goes. All different crusts, yum.

I eat vegan pizza with vegan toppings but it’s ‘pepperoni’.

NYC crust, with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and spinach. But I won’t turn down a good Chicago-style pan pizza, either. Or a super thin brick oven crust. Or a homemade, lopsided square crust with extra mozz. Or a Neapolitan…

El_Cadejo's avatar

@Frenchfry it is AWESOME you should try it sometime.

Meat. Oh, and extra cheese. If it could be a cheese stuff crust, that’s even better.
I’m so hungry now.

I am a crust person, always have to eat a few extra pieces of the crust. lol

I have the BEST pizza place ’ Starvin’ Dog ’ in my local tourist hub…my fav. is veggie with extra sauce, lots of parmesian and a sprinkling of hot red pepper.

Once in awhile I do like the Hawaiian style but usually don’t eat a lot of the canadian bacon, the pineapple and tomato sauce and cheese is awesome.

Infact….hmmm…working in the hub today, might have to drop in across the street and have a nice cold Stella and order a veggie pizza to go! :-)

Black olives, garlic crust, green peppers, mushrooms, onion, sliced tomato and lots of cheese!

Ummm pepperoni, bacon, and more pepperoni. Thin crust. Simple is bliss.

Thin crust with mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, sauce and cheese. OR Canadian bacon and pineapple.

Everything and nothing.

AND monterey jack is so much better on pizza than mozzarella. no one ever wants to believe me, and then i make them a pizza and they’re hooked. TRY IT.

WestRiverrat's avatar

Depends on what leftovers I have in the fridge. Almost anything can go on a pizza.

Coloma's avatar

@Frenchfry

I had a cashew pizza once…sounds strange but was really good, hardcore rich though, couldn’t eat much.

DominicX's avatar

Pepperoni, salami, sausage, green peppers, olives, etc.

At the very least, pepperoni. The other things are nice too. I do not like mushrooms, anchovies, pineapples, or any of that weird shit. :)

Frenchfry's avatar

@Coloma Ooo I love cashews.Sounds a bit odd. But I will try just about anything once. and I have to give that @deni monterey jack a chance.Maybe Jack and cashews and asparagus. LOL

Unfair question! I’m on a diet and haven’t eaten any for a month!

But when I do eat it, I like to keep it simple. Pepperoni if I’m in the mood for meat, black olives and lots of cheese… and every once in a while I have a few tomatoes and anchovy pieces on it. I also love Greek pizza with feta cheese, tomatoes and olives. Mmmmmmmmm.

Oh, and I’m a sucker for cheese-filled crust.

Frenchfry's avatar

@DominicX Mushrooms aint weird! Yummmy! They are a aphrodiastic.( did I spell that right) @Austinlad I am sorry you can still have pizza when you are on a diet.Just not five slices. LOL Good luck with the diet.

Thin crust, vegetarian, hot (with chillis).

SamIAm's avatar

I only eat the crust if it’s thin or really good (crispy but doughy on the inside) and also if there’s sauce on it. I like mushrooms and green peppers on NY delivery pizza. When I make pizza myself, I’ve been putting onions, mushrooms, asparagus and chicken sausage on it. When I get pizza here in Ca. I tend to get a chicken pesto and everything meat slice! And alwayssss add Parmesan, red pepper flakes, and white pepper too!

I like thick crust and i only eat them when i’m hungry enough, other wise i may leave them for the next day, hehe. I like on there extra mozzarella cheese, mushrooms, onion and fresh tomato. Pineapple can also go on there, but i’m more than happy without it.

ducky_dnl's avatar

Pepperoni, ham, and sausage! :) Hand tossed for me.

boffin's avatar

Shrooms
Peperoni

aprilsimnel's avatar

The neighbourhood pizza joint just closed for the rest of August and won’t re-open until the day after Labour Day! If I want pizza, I’ll have to walk three whole blocks! Waaaaaah!

Coloma's avatar

@aprilsimnel

Make your own!

Mmmmm…:-)

BratLady's avatar

Everything but anchovies. I like hand tossed crust. Don’t care for chicken on my pizza either~
