When I was pregnant, I got heartburn every night when I tried to go to sleep. I found that drinking a glass of milk before going to bed helped prevent it from happening.

Prop yourself up with pillows. Keep your head up. The way you lie down can make things worse.

I agree with @Seaofclouds. Try a glass of milk.

Smaller meals more frequently, antacids, Previcid, club soda

Zantac Helped me. Wonderful stuff.

I had the worst heartburn with my first pregnancy. I ate a lot of Tums because nothing else helped. I don’t remember how far along I was when my doctor said I could safely take Zantac. Maybe the third trimester, but it helped a lot. And my daughter had almost no hair until she was a toddler, so you can ignore everyone that says you’ll have a hairy baby.

One teaspoon full of regular yellow mustard will do the trick. old wives rememdy.

Please be careful if it persists. I had “heartburn” for 3 weeks and I treated it with over the counter medicine, until it got so bad I ended up in hospital – it turned into a perforated stomach ulcer.

But I will second @Frenchfry ‘s suggestion of Zantac. It’s good stuff.
