Have you ever hired a day laborer?

A church runs a day laborer placement program that I pass every morning on my way to work. Have you ever hired someone from such a program to do work for you? I have a lot of yard work that I need help with, as well as some simple home repairs.

Yes, I have. It varies a lot as to quality. But if you hire from a reputable program, you have some assurances.

Many programs have a four-hour minimum.

I have used day labor help many, many times. For the most part they are good help. As long as you don’t have a language barrier to overcome.
