What is the visa process for Chinese tourists to visit the U.S.?

I’m trying to find information on the process required for someone from China applying for a tourist visa to visit the U.S. Also looking for recommendations for websites or publications on Chinese tourist trends (as in where are they traveling to current hot spots, etc)..
