Do I have to send another transcript since I reapplied for this community college?

Asked by ladyv900 (713points) August 15th, 2010

I had to reapply for the community college I’m going to.At first when I didn’t need to reapply when I didn’t graduate from high school yet, my counselor send my transcripts so much time to the community college. But I reapplied over again with a parent this time which went more accurately than before.I got new e-mail from the place saying that a final transcript needs to be sent there(said that mid-transcripts are fine but get final transcript right after graduation).

PROBLEM:The problem is when I first applied for my community college, they never said anything about a final transcript at all and the high school I went to open until August 27.What I want to know is would it matter if if my counselor who sent my transcripts(when I applied for the first time) will they accept that or do I need another since I reapplied again?

They need the final transcript as proof that you completed high school. You need to have it sent. You probably didn’t hear about it the first time because the counselor would have taken care of it. Since you don’t know for sure, you should contact your high school and ask them to send the transcript. Even if your actual school doesn’t open until the 27th, there should be someone in the district’s office. Is the 27th the day school starts again or is it when the faculty returns to the school? Try giving them a call and go from there.

Ask the admissions office if they need another transcript.

You need to send the transcripts. Colleges require a final transcript. Anything you sent during your senior year is not final. Your counselor will not be the one to contact since have already graduated. Transcript requests for graduates are usually handled though the school board.

When do classes start? You may have to go to the board to pick them up and hand-carry a copy to the community college if you expect to start classes for the fall semester.

are you sure your hs doesn’t open till that date? Sometimes there’s always someone in the main office of a school, even during summer. Almost all schools have their offices open at least one week before school starts, if not earlier.

Office staff goes back at least a month before the student show up. But like I said, once you graduate, you usually get transcripts sent from the board of education, not the high school you graduated from. High schools usually only keep the records for current students.
