How much are these old Mac stickers worth?

Asked by lilikoi (10105points) August 16th, 2010

Anyone know what these are worth? Or when they were made? The sheet of four rainbow apples in this photo, that is.

My guess is nothing.
At least I would not pay anything for these.

Priceless. Vintage collectible stickers of a logo most of today’s Apple users don’t even remember, but if you wanted to sell ‘em, you probably would not get a dime.

Maybe a dollar on eBay, not more.

Nothing now, but hold on to them for 20 years. Imagine what they’d be worth if Apple ever changed its name/logo or went out of business or got bought up. Stranger things have happened.

But here’s the real point: many items that were worth nothing in each decade took on value in later decades. The Antique Road Show proves it.

The real point is that antiques gain value because they become scarce. Action #1 is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars because there are just a few of them left, while the morons who bag and board their weekly buys from the comic book store will gain nothing. In 20 years, there will still be millions of unused Apple logo stickers stashed away in filing cabinets … like mine, for instance.

And you can replicate them en masse on any inkjet.

Vintage Apple /Mac stickers can actually fetch a few dollars since they’re kind of a novelty for people. This batch is going for $20.00. Just hold on to ‘em. They may go up in value.

No, it’s not. The ask price is $20. The bid price is $0.
