Pairing a samsung remote?

Could anyone tell me how to pair a samsung remote with my telly? Brand new out of the box and it doesn’t work.

The remote itself is working, have done the look at it through a digital camera thing. Th TV just doesn’t recognise it?

Just don’t know what to do and everything I find online refers to another remote. There is no obvious pairing button or functions on the remote.

I’m not certain what you mean by “brand new.” Did the remote control come new with the TV, or is it just a new remote control? If you bought them separately, you may have purchased a Samsung remote to go with a Samsung TV, but it may not have the correct codes programmed into it. If you have the model number of your TV, you should be able to find the correct code number to program the remote. If the remote came with the TV and it is not working, there may be a problem with the TV itself.
