I would rather live to 50 and have an awesome life, because what’s the point in living longer a longer life if your life isn’t fulfilling.

To the age of 50 with a fantastic life.
This question reminds me of a quote…
“Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”
... pretty much sums it all up.

I would say living until 50 since I am 30. I am confident my answer would be different if I was 49 years old.

It’s been a hell of a ride so far. I’m looking forward to more!!

Live till 50. But… To not really answer your question, live till 100 and refuse to have a boring life, since its mainly in my control.

I’d rather live to 100 and lead an exciting life. Of the two, I’m completely in control of the latter, and only partially in control of the former.

I’m pretty sure that the question is asking you to choose between the two options, not make your own varitations of the choices. Assuming that you have no control over your life. I mean, if it were up to me I’d rather never die and have every day be super exciting. But that’s not what the question is asking me is it?

What’s the point of living to 100 then?

scamp's avatar

If I stick to only the choices in the question, I would die right now. I’ll stick to my original answer.

uh….. 100. Hope not too boring…

100. a boring life is one spent not chasing the trivialities of modernity, but rather spent in reposed appreciation.

Ask anyone who is 49 and I guarantee they will say “100”.

THIS IS A HARD QUESTION TO ANSWER DONT SUSPECT TO HAVE A CRAPPY LIFE OR A GREAT LIFE EITHER WAY IT COULD GET WORSE IF YOU LIVE TO A HUNDRED AND HAD A BORING LIFE YOU WOULD HAVE TO HAVE BEEN LOCKED IN A CLOSET FOR YOUR LIFE IF YOU LIVED TO 50 IT DEPEND S IF YOU HAD A GREAT LIFE OR NOT BUT IF YOU DIED AT 50 YOU DONT HAVE A GREAT LIFE BECAUSE YOU EITHER DIED BY A CAR ACCIDENT GOT HIT BY A CAR GOT SHOT OR HAD ANY KIND OF DIESESE I AM JUST TELLING EVERYONE BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A GOOD LIFE AND LIVE TO 95 YEARS :)

WHY ARE YOU YELLING?!

Being eight years on the far side of 50, I would strongly affirm that 100 is more appealing to me at the moment.

The best advice I ever got was when I was 17 and on my senior trip which was a cruise which my aunt gave to me as a gift . I grew up very poor in a house where my father physically abused my mother on a nightly basis. My self esteem was zilch. I was afraid of everything, and I probably thought my life would be just like my mom’s. A friend of my aunt’s was also on that cruise. She came up to me one day and handed me one hundred dollars. She told me to use it on the cruise for excursions. She said in life never to be afraid to take any opportunity which came my way and to live life to the fullest. I went scuba diving and parasailing, which I was very afraid to do. This changed my whole life. I was never afraid to try anything new or exciting. My wonderful husband and I have done so much together. From hiking the Grand Canyon, white water rafting, surfing in Hawaii, skiing in Tahoe…. I never want to just accept life the way it is…I want to live my life to the fullest…even if I only get fifty years. The best part of all this is that my daughter has travelled with us and done all of this with us. She meets challenges head on. She I’d fourteen and is nothing like I was. All of her life has been full of live, travel and excitement. I hope she gets 100 years of that! I guess my answer is fifty of great….with a hope and a prayer that I get more! Whatever it is , I won’t waste a minute of it!!!
