Is Chuck filmed on a set or is that a real house?

Asked by camertron (2117points) August 19th, 2010

In the TV show “Chuck” Chuck and his sister live in a condo that has a courtyard in the center that all the condos open onto. Their house is fairly nice with a number of rooms, etc. My mom just saw something else on TV of a real place that looked alot like the same courtyard and condo layout. Does anyone know if Chuck is filmed on a set or if it’s filmed in a real place?

It’s a set.

It’s not my real house.

pretty much everything in Hollywood is a set, but I will double check for you… :)

Real houses are often used for filming movies, but rarely if ever for TV. Too hard to get cameras and lights positioned and to control acoustics.

Real house exterior, set interior.

It is soooo hard to do lighting in a real house. Then add camera, camera moves, crew and proper sound.

Logistics nightmare.

I don’t watch Chuck, but I imagine the interior’s a set, at least. Easier to control logistics on a set, and cheaper for the production.
