Have you ever been in a position in which you have said "it can't end like this"?

Absolutely – this person was the only person that’s now out of my life because of their own volition – if I could have done anything else to keep ‘em in my life, I would have and to this day, without knowing how they are and whether they’re all right, I think ‘it can’t end like this…’ and I worry (and this deeply troubles me) that they will die without ever speaking to me.
I fired a waitressing job that way. Never looked back. Second day on the job. Don’t regret it one bit. Felt weird going to in to get my measly check though.Funny though.. That was when I was 18. When I was 34 . I am or was the best bartender around. As I aged I got better..
One of the reasons I got divorced lol. I couldn’t picture my life ending with this evil woman in it.
