Legitimate and consistent way to make about $500/mo working remotely?

Asked by saservp (291points) August 21st, 2010

Hello all, this question might be bashed for being rather vague. I am wondering if anyone can offer advice on where to look for a legitimate way to work remotely/via the internet to the tune of about $500/mo? A google search just reveals page after page after page of spam.

I’m not looking to “make 10,000 a month filling out surveys!” or any of that crap. I am a highly-educated hard-working person willing to do legitimate work and put in hours either for myself or working for a company, but my goal is to make just a little on the side from my full-time job.

If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated!

Try mturk.com

I’m not sure if $500 is likely, but I think it’s possible if you really dedicate yourself.

What’s your skill set? Have you looked for “virtual office assistant jobs”?

You might want to check out www.examiner.com. They have freelance writing positions.

I don’t know how realistic $500 monthly is or what your skills are, but check out PeoplePerHour.com.

Successful bloggers can make a lot more than that, I hear.

make video commentaries or things people would be interesting in seeing on youtube, and you can make some money.

Filling out Surveys is boring, per se (IMO), but if you do about 4 a week, you can earn about $500 per month. A few Contacts on mine do them to earn extra cash. Personally, I dislike them, too boring.

You can definitely make $500 a month on www.Mturk.com. I earn any where from $9 – $26/ day depending upon what’s posted. That works out to be about $270 – $780 per month but it takes a little time to reach that level. There are people making $50 -$100+/day at times on Mtruk. Send me a PM and I’ll share with you what I do. And the best part is you can work anywhere as long as you have access to a computer with internet access!
