What memory ram should i use, and put them in what channel slot?

i have a hp pavilion and it has 4 ddr2 slot they are 2 different colors. they are 1A,2A,1B,2B. i have 3 1gb kingston ddr2 ram sticks and 1 2gb stick.. were should i put the rams in and in what order so i can use 5gb or ram.. =] thank you
