How many schools have been built in Afghanistan since 2001?

I saw a report on national TV (european country) that affirmed that some 600 schools were supposed to be built, and from those, zero were actually built — and the money went to build giant palaces to the elite.

Having seen the pictures of the palace complex on TV, I don’t doubt the palaces. It’s not even hard for me to believe that no school has been built. I know the world works like this.

But still I would like to read about this online. Do you know any link? I’ve been searching without luck.
