Were you ever a fan of Thunderbirds, if so which was the coolest ship & who was the best character?

Asked by ucme (50047points) August 23rd, 2010

Thunderbirds are go!! The Gerry Anderson classic kitsch cheese-o-rama of yesteryear. I would watch it on occasion but by no means would call myself a fan. Was it even popular around the world? Enjoyable hokum for a kid but that’s about as far as it got. How about you though, were you ever a fan or simply a casual follower? Just for fun however i’d like to know your fave moments-episodes-characters or craft. For the record i’d have Thunderbird 2 & “Brains” was way the coolest dude around.

Lady Penelope was always quite a turn-on for me.
I don’t know if it ever aired in the Netherlands, the episodes i saw, i saw them on the Beeb.
Can’t recall specific scenes, but the little i saw of the Thunderbirds was always pretty impressive.
Still is.

I studied engineering so I could flip the switch and say: “Yabba Ray – On!”

That was the greatest show of all time. Thunderbird 2 , was my favorite ship.

I have never watched it.
I did however,own a ‘69 T-Bird,but would prefer a ‘64,in red.
—was it the show with the good-looking puppets???—XD

@lucillelucillelucille Well Lady Penelope did give Parker wood on occasion so she must have carried a certain something.

@rebbel It’s the hat isn’t it, the orange hat that turns you on? She’s a little frigid for my taste I have to say.Parker despite the age gap so wanted to jump her bones…...or should that be strings?

@ucme
That and the cleavage.
