I heard if you double up on cough syrup, then you don’t. But then i don’t also see how that would be safe either…

Dreams are a subconscious response to things you have been exposed to. While there would be medical and homeopathic ways no doubt to temporarily fix this, in the long run you must work out what is causing those nightmares.

their not really nightmares, just undertones of nightmares, they are happy/random dreams with scary things spuratically happening.

It’s more important to confront them than try to ignore them. It is actually an unhealthy and self-deceiving psyche that can not dream.

If there is stress in your life you’ll probably notice a recurring theme in these dreams, Identify the recurring theme and try and solve or remedy it.

Hope this helps

thats the problem, i haven’t seen a theme or even a consistency, it is always with different people, different places, and at different times the only constant thing is i am always in them.

If you’ve tried the typical sleeping disorder—related advice like establishing a soothing routine prior to bedtime, limiting caffeine, regular exercise, etc. you could try to remain awake until you basically fall asleep from exhaustion. You will sleep very soundly at that point, but plan on it being 10–12 hours. It should refresh your sleeping memories, which I think sometimes cause the anxiety you’re describing when those memories are unsettling. Some people find hypnotherapy helps greatly for sleeping disorders, although I’ve never tried it.

Some medications also cause disturbing dreams. If you’re taking anything, check the side effects.
