I’m retired and have had and currently have a part time job, all off of Craig’s List. All of my responses have beed straight forward.

All the best jobs I’ve gotten were through friends and connections.

I’d say to meet some new people, or ask around in your current circle of friends.

It’d help if you told us what your field was.

Networking. Let your friends, especially your professional contacts, know that you’re looking for work.

Networking is best. And see if you can find any groups (formal entities such as trade associations or informal like people with similar career interests) that focus on your field. They could be a great source for “hidden” jobs that aren’t advertised or ideas on what else you might want to explore.
