What is the average width of a human's big toe?

I’m sure it has to do with body size. That’s like asking what’s the average length leg on humans. Everyone will have a different answer.

On that note, mine is a little under 1 1/2 inches.

It is likely different for males and for females.

How/Where would you measure it?

I just used a measuring tape and measured the widest part. Hopefully that’s what they ment.

Working in a podiatrist office, I see all shapes and sizes. On average I would have to guess about an inch to an inch and a half. May I ask why you are asking this? I am just curious.

I got out my fiance’s tape measure because I wanted to make sure guess was correct. It was late last night when I answered this. 3 inches is pretty big! I measured diameter. My son in law wears a size 16 shoe, and his toe isn’t that big!!
