Where is the best dog friendly areas in San Francisco?

Asked by jenlk1207 (440points) August 31st, 2010 from iPhone

I’m heading up north from So. Cal and am taking two dogs. Looking for some nice dog friendly areas to visit while there. I.E. Pet shops, dog bakeries, etc. Any info would be appreciated.

Delores Park always has a lot of dogs in it. I know that there’s a pet shop right there, too. I believe it’s on the corner of 18th and Church.

boots is right, Dolores Park is one of the better places to bring your dog. @boots you’re right, it is on 18th and Church.

i was just at a cute boutique type place in the Castro… and of course Dolores & Golden Gate Park. the whole city seems to be super dog friendly. also, depending on where you’re staying, there’s a cute little park on the top of Nob Hill (across from Grace Cathedral) and lots of people bring their pups there

The Presidio of San Francisco’s Crissy Field is a large beautiful area to walk or jog with dogs.
