What if, your desired things don't happen as expected? What would you do?

Asked by 9doomedtodie (3113points) September 2nd, 2010

I have a bitter example of two kings.
There were two kings,First was doomed to die & another was fighting for glory, peace & joy.. Unfortunately first survived & Other lost all the things which he was fighting for..
It was a game of fate ,where they marooned…...^_^
In this case of Kings the desired things didn’t happen as expected.
What do you say,are these kings really ill-fated?. How would you get over yourself from such conditions?

It is my experience that we just go on living.

Desire something else, of course!

You look around for something else to do.
Presumably, you have a long-term goal. When your plan goes belly-up, you find another way to get to your goal, and take it.

I set off for college with the intention of becoming a doctor. Instead I graduated with a BA in Communications, my eye on Public Relations. Instead, I work at Sam’s Club, preparing chicken and answering stupid questions like, “Do I order cakes here?”

The answer, of course, is, “No, the bakery makes cakes. This is the Meat Department, which should be obvious because YOU’RE FREAKIN’ SURROUNDED BY THE FLESH OF DEAD ANIMALS, YOU MORON! I SELL ROASTED CHICKEN HERE, NOT PASTRIES! I SWEAR, IF ONE MORE PERSON ASKS ME IF I MAKE CAKES, I’LL HOSE HIM DOWN WITH OVEN CLEANER AND COOK HIM ALIVE!”

This is how life goes. Sometimes, things don’t work out the way you want. You can either whine and complain or suck it up and deal.

Me? I choose to deal with it.

It isn’t the disappointment in life that brings us down, but how react to those disappointment. Sam Walton had so many failing businesses before Walmart. He never gave up.

Forget about it (if it’s impossible to carry on),or always try to make it to happen.

I either find a new way to go about getting them or I find something else to pursue. If it doesn’t happen, it wasn’t meant to be and I know that I should focus on something else.

Assess where you are, determine if your original plan is actually the best course, adjust as necessary and move on.

I’ve had so few desired things go as expected that if they suddenly started to then I’d become really unnerved.~ What I’ve done is to evaluate my big picture and alter course as needed to get there.

You can’t always get what you want. It’s really not a tragedy.
