Where can I find community service with animals? (Dogs and cats)

Okay so I’m in a class where I need to do community service for a couple of months, but I’m planning to keep working up until I get out of high school. I don’t want to work with old people since I don’t like it and don’t want to, I’m not good with children or people in general that much…And I’m mostly good with animals, I love them and have a strong feeling towards them. So I’m asking where can I find community service in Oceanside CA. It’s for my AVID Class and I’m in 8th grade. Any ideas Fluther?

Try your local humane society. If they don’t need help, (but they probably do) they should be able to point you in the right direction.
