Who is Letterman's music programmer?

Letterman’s musical guests are of a significantly higher quality than the other latenights and have been for years. There’s a programming director somewhere in his ranks that has a finger on a pulse and makes sure of this. I’ve been told it’s Paul Schaffer but his style seems too different. So far, I’ve found it ungoogleable.

Why don’t you look at the show’s credits on IMDb? It’s probably one of the regular producers. They probably get record companies pitching them all the time as well.
