How many people have successfully gained Permanent Residency (PR) in New Zealand via their “Working to Residency” Policy?. I’m curious to know how stressful/hard the process of gaininng Residency was and what it’s like sticking to policy.

Following…I’ve wondered this myself.

I was grumped at on a local site other than this saying that I do not have authority to ask such a question as I could be proving information to those applying for residency in New Zealand. In no way am I doing this. This is purely for my own information, I will be passing nothing on. Apologies in advance.

Quite a few, I imagine.

There are several factors that they consider. What country do you live in? What qualifications do you have? Do you have any disabilities or mental health issues?

I am also interested in hearing from someone who has actually successfully gained Permanent Residency in New Zealand via their “Working to Residency” Policy.

Work to residency policy had too many terms and restrictions for my liking so I opted for a simple 3 year work permit then after 9 months applied directly for residency = Result.

Yes it is all pretty stressful still but I have the impression that if you are actually IN the country & can show you are settling well within the Job and community then the immigration officers look more favourably towards your case for residency. (not All rules are set in stone, thankfully the NZ Govt also uses common sense)
