In math, using decimals, how would 10.01 be written out in words?

How would 10.01 be written out? Ten and one hundredths?

Well, I’d say ten point o-one, but yes, 0.01 is one hundredth, so 10.01 is ten units and one hundredth.

You have it right. However, since you only have 1 hundredth, you should say “ten and one hundredth” rather than “ten and one hundredths.” It doesn’t make sence to make “hundredth” plural when there is only one of them.

@Cdog95 Not so much. Just because that’s the way people typically say it doesn’t mean that it is the proper way to say it.
