Most important thing in one's life?

Asked by JasonDe (33points) September 10th, 2010

What should be the most important thing in soneone’s life? For me, it’s my family; still I feel, money is gradually taking place for many to be of highest priority. Is this actually true?

Personally my family and health are top of my list.

Money is an added bonus when my priorities are tickety boo.

I felt that way until my dad became sick, I have quit my job at this time to be with him. Ask yourself if someone took all your money, or took your family, which could you not recover from? I will give up my house, my car, my material possessions, to be with my family. Without my family the money and possessions don’t mean much.

For me it’s family. Family comes first and then I need money to keep them healthy and wise. So I guess money second.

Health and personal relationships, family usually at the top of those relationships. Money, financial security is very I portent to in our society. It helps provide health and safety for family.

Providing my son with love and close mindful attention, hearing him, really listening to what he is saying and feeling, giving him everything he needs to grow into the person he wants to become

To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

This is different for everyone. For me, it’s my love, my kids and justice (I feel like everyone will remember me saying this over and over and when ya’ll come to my funeral, please mention it!)

@Mom2BDec2010 not sure if you directed that at me? I was not saying money is more important than people. I think all too often we talk about money regarding material things, I am talking about it in terms of freedom and security. Like when men are berated for missing a kids soccer game because of work. Their income provides for the family, in many of their minds I think working hard and providing is putting family first.
