Adjective that comes between suspicious & knowing the whole truth?

Another word question..

I’m looking for an adjective that describes the state(s) between suspicious (beginning to notice something wrong, but barely) and full-fledged realizing the whole truth (the suspicion positively confirmed).

The word feels more towards being right about that suspicion. If you can think of another one with the shade towards being wrong about that suspicion, I’d love to hear it too..

Context: As soon as I paid up the money, the little ______ pang sprung up in my mind, but I ignored it.
