How do people always know where to find the graves of their loved ones?

Usually the only other time you’ve been there was for the funeral and you’re probably in a very emotional state and not paying that much attention to your surroundings. So, when you went back to visit your loved one, have you ever forgotten where the grave was located and wandered around looking for it? I have.
