Biblical Wedding Reading ideas?

I have been asked to do a reading at a friends wedding.

I suggested an excerpt from ‘the velveteen rabbit’ which she loved but it was poo-pahed by the priest who insisted that she only have readings from the bible.

Im not an overly religous person and not the believer in biblical passages. I need help finding something a passage that is appropriate, yet will still have an impact on an audience.
