And would you mind posting a picture of a sample of your creations? :)

I don’t have any pictures, but I do a little wood carving/whittling and work with clay.

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard :) What kind of wooden thingies do you make?

Make out artist. Federal laws prohibit me posting sample pictures of my creativity.

My job is a painter/potter,but I have also sculpted with clay and wood, stained glass, pen and ink, pencil, pastels, watercolor, acrylic and oil paint, charcoal, conte crayon,woodworking,sandblasting/glass etching, and I am trying to teach myself harmonica—run away!run away!—XD

@NaturallyMe, I have made beads, a tobacco pipe, and a mask before, among other things.

@lucillelucillelucille Ooh! I want to try glass etching one day. Good luck with the harmonica. :D

I make BEAM robots. I don’t have any pics of my stuff but they are similar to this and this.

I should get my camera fixed.

@NaturallyMe-You should try it! It is fun! As for the harmoica…I need all the luck I can get XD

NaturallyMe's avatar

@johnpowell well that’s something out of the ordinary! :) What are your BEAMs designed to do (if they have a specific purpose)?
@lucillelucillelucille there’s a craft show that i watch every week, and a couple weeks ago they had a bit on etching on mirror – it looked so simple and very pretty. :)

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@Naturally Me-It is simple :)

@lucillelucillelucille very cute, and nicely done. :)

@NaturallyMe :: Most of mine simply sense where light is and try to get to the light since they are solar powered and need light to work. Beyond that those don’t do anything. But they are fun if you have a flashlight.

I have some that use batteries and randomly walk around and avoid hitting stuff.

There isn’t any programming in BEAM robots. It is all electrical inputs that react to stimuli. It is pretty much trying to build the brain of an ant out of parts from a old VCR.

I am finally, finally, finally getting close to being done with a diploma in Pastry Arts. I am now doing an internship here and loving it. I don’t know how to make everything yet, but I’m learning a lot. I have pictures of things that I’ve made – in school and on my own – but most of them I have removed from the internet.

NaturallyMe's avatar

@johnpowell Well it sounds interesting. :D
@tedibear Pastry Arts? As in, sweet pastries? (your link sent me back to my own question again, hehe).

tedibear's avatar

@NaturallyMe – Yes, as in sweet pastries. And breads and desserts. I’m annoyed that the link did that! Let’s try it without making it a link the Fluther way www.coquettepatisserie.com

NaturallyMe's avatar

@tedibear Well that’s great! :) I love sweet things and dessert so much, i almost wish that i had a talent (and a will) to make those kinds of things myself. (i hate cooking, generally).
