How do I keep NSFW questions out of my inbox?

Asked by Whitsoxdude (1507points) September 15th, 2010

I got this in my questions for you section today..
Honestly I don’t see why it’s in there. This isn’t the first time I’ve been given a question I don’t have the tags for.
Is there any way to “block” certain words?

I believe that there’s a “reject” option (I can’t remember the name) as opposed to the “remove” option. That should help…

But you may want to scan through your interests and remove potential contributors – and I feel like the questions you’re following are part of what the suggestions are drawn from. You may also want to stop following questions which may bring you to the NSFW realm.

It’s not ‘not interested’ and it’s supposed to remove anything having to do with topics that the question had – you can also just ignore NSFW qs.

There isn’t any way (at the moment… you just never know what those guys will dream up next) to block topics or certain kinds of questions. The question matching algorithm is based on the topics you’ve listed in your profile, and the types of questions you’ve answered in the past. It’s pretty good, but not yet perfect. Clicking on “not interested” every time a question like that shows up for you will help to reduce the likelihood of more appearing, over time.

[Removed by me. Better not say anything; it’s almost Yom Kippur.]

Apparently there is not yet any way to do that. I have asked several time for that feature, but it is not on the top of their to do list.
