Removing light scratches from back of iPod Touch?

Asked by UfoTofu (1points) March 29th, 2008 from iPhone

I bought a simple Belkin case for the iPod and it had two openings for a belt or something, exposing the back of the iPod. I put a piece of paper to protect the iPod but noticed two very light scratches this week. Any way to get rid of the scratches?they’re not too deep. Thanks!

I’m trying to figure out the same thing for my iPhone.

I gave up caring, I’d love to keep the back of my iPod nice and clean, but it’s just not possible. Anyhow, I’ll prolly get a scratch remover later and try and get them out.

same here, the back of my iphone has a lot of scratches.
i recently bought a pink cover for it. i don’t know if
the ipod touch has covers but i would advise you getting one if they do.

There are two products that could solve this problem;
1. Ice-Cream its a cleaner that isn’t endorsed by apple but when you ask them what you should use to clean the back or the screen to get out scratches most employees and apple geniuses tell me to get this product, I haven’t found prices but you can look it up on google.
2.I found that you can buy a 12 ounce bottle of Brasso metal cleaner, put it on a cloth and wipe for about an hour to get out all scratches, just be careful not to get it in the crevices of the ipod because it can be ruined that way!. But after about an hour it should have all of the scratches out, and after that wipe it off with Windex so you can get the cleaner off, and presto! This only cost me about $5, and I recommend it to
everyone!

Whatever you choose to do make sure its not plain stupid advice, like using toothpaste to clean the screen which doesn’t work but many people think it does? But yeah, goodluck!

yes braso works but do not use on the iPhone! It works on iPods and also watches. Braso makes a body good! Got braso?
