How many buildings went down in the World Trade Center during 911?

Asked by JustmeAman (3978points) October 1st, 2010

There were three that went down and the third was not hit by a plane and yet it had molten steel in the basement why? Why did the building fall in on itself and fall at free fall speed? Meaning there was no supporting structure beneath the building as it collapsed. Just curious as to what many think.

One of the most interesting tenants was then-Mayor Giuliani’s Office of Emergency Management, and its emergency command center on the 23rd floor. This floor received 15 million dollars worth of renovations, including independent and secure air and water supplies, and bullet and bomb resistant windows designed to withstand 200 MPH winds. The 1993 bombing must have been part of the rationale for the command center, which overlooked the Twin Towers, a prime terrorist target.

How curious that on the day of the attack, Guiliani and his entourage set up shop in a different headquarters, abandoning the special bunker designed precisely for such an event.

Sorry youtube is blocked from this computer but there are a whole bunch of sites talking about building 7 of the world trade center.

@JustmeAman building 7 was not by a plane. Building 7 was not hit by a plane. Watch those videos when you can.

But before you watch conspiracy theory videos, you should read this Skeptoid article. Zeitgeist: The Movie, Myths, and Motivations

If you are curious about what others think (about this question), you’d do better not to blurt out the answer.

Thank you @kevbo I appreciate your answer.

Cracked.com has an amazingly straight-faced explanation of why the 9/11 Conspiracy – driven primarily by the gang who produced Loose Change – is itself a conspiracy to create publicity out of nothing.

@robmandu, “Loose Change” is an easy target because it isn’t very good, and the article is hardly objective. Frankly, I’m surprised that this is your best effort.

Try debunking “9/11: Press for Truth” instead.

@kevbo Oh now I see why you said I gave the answer. I should have given a web site instead I guess. I have asked this question to many people and almost without fail unless they have really investigated the answer comes back with 2 buildings went down in the World Trade Center.

@Rarebear I went and read the article you showed us and it says nothing about building 7. It is just trying to disclaim information put out by Zeitgeist. That is not what I asked nor has it anything to do with it. I would like an explanation of Building 7 and what happened. It fell at free fall speed and had molten steel in the basement. It fell exactly how the films of demolition show a building coming down.

@JustmeAman I was posting that link in response to @mrlaconic‘s video link to the Zeitgeist movie.

@Rarebear

Please tell us your view on the information provided about building 7 and how it fits what the 911 investigation commitee said and how they filled there responsibility?
