How do I overcome my phobia of being assassinated?

I seriously have this problem. I think it could stem from an out of whack sense of importance in this world. It really sucks though, it’s a horrible feeling. I am tired of living my life being afraid someone is going to kill me. What should I do to remedy this feeling?
