The Fluther team was acquired by twitter in December 2010.

Ben Finkel is the CEO and co-founder of Fluther. He graduated with honors in mathematics and computer science from Brown University. He has a background in algorithms and worked previously at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and Laszlo Systems. He also enjoys writing comedy and playing ultimate frisbee.

Andrew McClain is the President and co-founder of Fluther.  He graduated with honors in computer science from Brown University. He formerly worked at Laszlo Systems and Microsoft, as well as working as a new media artist and acting professionally in LA. He received his MFA in acting from A.C.T in San Francisco.

Lisa Noll is the Community Manager of Fluther. She has a background in management in a variety of settings. She spends her free time remodeling her 1920s home, reading, writing, painting, and enjoying her family.

Advisors

Fluther’s logo and design are the creation of Mark Bixby, the Best Designer in the West. Continued design services are provided by the skillful hands of David Cole and Dave Stolte.

Fluther’s header font is Rockwell, a font designed at the Monotype foundry’s in-house design studio in 1934. The project was supervised by Frank Hinman Pierpont.

Fluther is proudly written in Python and Django. Front-end AJAX donated by YUI. Text-to-HTML conversion done by a custom Textile engine. We’re delighted to have our servers hosted by Slicehost, running Ubuntu, MySQL, Apache, Lighttpd, Perlbal, memcached, and MogileFS. And a partridge in a pear tree.
