Mac Air power adapter?

Asked by MommaDuma (18points) March 16th, 2010

I plug in the power adaptor to my mac air and the light turns green for a second, then red. I’ve tried several outlets. Power in my air is dead. Is the adaptor bad?

All power adapters do that when charging the battery. The light turns green when the battery is fully charged. Are you saying that the Air is not charging/powering on?

The light turns green when I connect it to the mac, then turns red. Normally it would be amber while charging but it’s not charging the unit and since the battery is dead, the mac won’t turn on

The battery is the problem more like it, red just means that there is barely any charge. It always turns green to begin with (before red). But if you leave it in long enough it should go amber then green.

If not, I would guess it’s the battery rather than the charger.
