Hi; I figured I’d answer your question via PM, rather than derailing the thread.

My ex abused other drugs, and took Tylenol (acetaminophen/paracetamol) like it was candy. He’d been drinking and doing drugs since he was a preteen, too; so no one was really surprised when his liver gave out on him at 39. About 4 years earlier, the Doctor had told him that his liver enzymes were high, but that didn’t stop him.

There was nothing anyone could have done to change his ways – his family gave me credit for prolonging his life as it was. His life story was a tragedy, and one that is sadly repeated in too many families.
