What does it mean when I keep having dreams about the same female often?

For months I’ve been having dreams about this one female I nearly dated. Back when she liked me anyway. We’re just friends now, but we used to talk a lot, and we was pretty close. I suppose we still are, but she really doesn’t bother to hold a conversation with me any longer. Well. Sometimes in my dreams she’s always having fun with my friends, and she’s completely ignoring me. While in very few it’s only us two, and she shows great interest in me. We’ve never met before, but over the course of a year and a half, I’ve grown to like her on another level. I’m she she knows, but I really don’t know. Just wondering what it means when I have dreams about her like that, and why so frequent do I have dreams about her.
