Alternative to Drop.io for Sharing of Large Files?

I’ve been using the terrific site drop.io to share large files, but it’s just been purchased by Facebook and is shutting down. The site allowed one to create web pages that housed the files, and had many other outstanding usability features. For example, we recently had a course, and faculty posted their powerpoint presentations on a dropio site created just for the course. Oh, and it was free for general use (large volume users could pay for more storage).

Does anyone have a favorite alternative?
