Where is nice to live in Atlanta, GA?

I’m looking for an apartment in Atlanta, GA. I’ve never been there, but I will be soon to check it out and moving shortly after. I don’t need anything fancy, even a studio apartment would be fine or condo, I’m just hoping to spend less than $800/month and live in a nice area. I’m not against having to drive into the city, so suburbs are fine, if not preferred. Any insight would be much appreciated.
