How do you know if you're in love with someone?

I think I love this guy but ive never said it but when im alone I say it to myself. I don’t want to be with him because he isn’t in school like me & isn’t honing to make much of himself in the future but something keeps pulling me back to him for 4 years now. Is it the sex? The idea of him? How do you know you’re in love?
