What did you think of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie?

SPOILERS EXPECTED: Was it as good as you expected? Were the changes from the book distractive? Do you think it explained key plot points well?
For example, Hedwig got a much more heroic death in the movie. I found that just a bit of a bother.
