Why is it that I work better and am more cheerful while I work if I'm by myself?

Whether it’s if I’m home alone, everybody else in the house is asleep, or some other reason, I work better when I’m alone! This morning I was home alone with a kitchen full of dishes to wash, a huge batch of cookies to bake, clothes to fold, and the baking dishes to wash. I got it done surprisingly fast and had time for some fun. How come this happens whenever I’m alone? Why? How do I take this and apply it to the rest of my life? If I could work like this the rest of the time, I would have so much more time! To do whatever else my mom would fill my newfound free time with. >.<

I’ve also noticed this happens especially during my period. Go figure.
