What does it mean when you dream about the same person every night?

For about a month and a half now I’ve been dreaming about a friend of mine. He’s always the main part of my dream but it’s almost never the same dream twice. Even the way he’s in my dreams varies. Sometimes we’re just hanging out, sometimes we’re in a relationship (which also varies from dating to married and the married ones are kind of weird), and last night we were walking around the school and I gave him my number. Although I do like spending time with him outside of my dreams, anything more than friendship would be awkward; so I know that I’m not like, in love with him or anything.
